At the end of 2025, MSA dispatched a delivery of industrial valves for a natural gas pipeline project in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. Recently received photographs show the valves installed on site.
A new pipeline connecting Kormor and Chemchemal
The project is linked to the expansion of natural gas production in the Kurdistan Region and the need to transport gas from local gas fields. Its objective is to construct a new pipeline connecting the Kormor and Chemchemal areas.
The project covers front-end engineering and design, detailed engineering and construction. KAR GP Ltd. was appointed by the Ministry of Natural Resources as the turnkey EPC contractor responsible for delivering the project.
MSA's contribution
MSA supplied high-pressure ball valves in sizes ranging from 2” to 36”, with pressure ratings of Class 600 and Class 900. The delivery included several valve types designed for demanding pipeline operating conditions, including electrically and electro-hydraulically actuated configurations.
The photographs from the installation site document the next stage of the delivery, following its dispatch at the end of 2025.
This project provides another example of MSA products being supplied for international natural gas transportation infrastructure projects.
